The month of Elul is really designated as period of introspection and repentance. The very Spirit of God, is now positioning His people for the next year. This these days also have a correlation with the Jewish New Year. (Revival/refreshing) Now going back to Elul, really symbolizes the coming Judgment of Jesus. These Jewish Holy days are specific physical days within Judaism that symbolize what is approaching in the Spiritual, of Jesus return and judgment. (No man knows the time...but it's coming.)
Now, in order for the grace of God to flow, repentance is a must. Usually along with God's grace, comes purpose. This idea was true pretty much every Biblical character that God uses. In fact you can see this idea all the way from Sampson to Peter. All of whom received grace to carry out a purpose. So what is the purpose of Christians in our day in age. Well, that's actually very easy to answer. Jesus commanded His church to go and make disciples of ALL NATIONS. Baptizing them in the (singular) name of the Father and Son and Holy Spirit.) Of course, we know that the name of These manifestations of God is JESUS! In fact, one is not a member of the church (invisible body of Jesus) until they are immersed in Water in His name. (Acts 2:38) So of course the position that is being set up is designed for us to build the house of God and building up your own as well. Keep in mind we must make God's, house the first priority and then our own needs/dwelling will follow.
The Jewish Temple (God's former house) no longer exists because the Body of Jesus on earth (His church) is that Temple that is being built in these last days, before his coming. This is also known as the Bride of Christ. Notice that a Bride, when given in marriage takes on the NAME of her Husband. So to, in the Spiritual, this idea rings true. The very Bride takes on the name of Jesus. In fact, when an individual is baptized they are baptized into Jesus body (The church) as stated in Romans 6:3. Our name changes as we now take on the name of our Husband! This unity or oneness is remarkable In fact, there is such a oneness that the in Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the Bride both say the same thing! In fact, they are both speaking....LIFE! (L'Chaim) Just when the very Spirit of God (Jesus) dwelt in the body of Messiah, every word of Messiah was the very utterance of God. (Deuteronomy 18:18)
Please keep in mind that Spirit and Body can separate and of course when and if this happens, death is the result. But Spirit and Spirit cannot separate, it is impossible to separate God from His word, as theologians like to teach from John 1:1. God is a Spirit and words only can come from Spirit, flesh cannot speak! Any dispute of this is adding to God's word, thus a fast track name to getting your name taken out of the Book of Life. If you study Revelation, you will see that the Book of Life is actually HIS WORD...THE BIBLE.
This is why it is essential for people to listen to God's word and know what it is saying for oneself. There are so many wolves in sheep clothing telling people to "accept Jesus into their heart" that it's mind blowing. In fact, show me once in the Bible where it says to "accept Jesus into your heart." It says that NOWHERE. it does say however..."Repent and be baptized (fully immersed in water), everyone of you, in the NAME OF JESUS Christ for the FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit!" (Acts 2:38)
So what are we to do? Get Sprinkled with water in three titles to join a denominational or nondenominational church? NOPE
Going back to the Old testament now, we know that the Very God of the Old testament is fully dwelling inside the Temple he created, (temple not made of hands Acts 7:48) which is the very body of Messiah. So here it is, Jesus is not separate from God at all. He is the Father from creation, showing up in time, who's very fullness of His ONE Spirit has now taken on a human body that was created. Keep in mind that Jesus even said he could do nothing by himself because the body without the Spirit can do absolutely nothing on it's own! So now here it is. The House of God has gone through three periods. The first was a physical temple made of hands, this being the Jewish Temple. The second stage was the very body of Messiah. The final stage is His bride. In all of these their was unity. It took unity for the temple to be built. It took unity for the man or flesh of God to submit his urges to the very Spirit of God and finally it takes unity and one vision to build the end time church. Of course, the final stage is what God wanted from day one, but because of the fall of man, this could not happen. Keep in mind again the unity in the Bride of Christ and God (Jesus) is so strong that in the end (Revelation 22:17) The both speak the very same thing! (God's people in perfect unity with His word.) Of course we know that the very Word of God is the same as the Spirit of God, because the Spirit is what speaks as stated in John 6:63. The flesh doesn't speak...but it is the Spirit within flesh that communicates! This unity requires more than one individual because where two or more are gathered, there he is. So together, the church is the very flesh of God on earth. This bride is also known as the "city of Peace" or Jerusalem, or Zion. This body has multiple titles, but yet one name, since the bride has made a covenant with her one God. Notice the importance of the Covenant, no covenant = no promise and no life. Marriage is a covenant as well as a marriage to God. This covenant is only started by repentance and is only maintained by repentance. (II Chronicles 7:14...IF MY PEOPLE, WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME...(JESUS) So here it is, you must first enter covenant and then make sure you maintain it, as fostered by the Jewish feast days (This idea of seasons and Feast days completely supports this.)
