The other night I was having a Bible study when the word of God began to really get me to ponder something. I was reading Romans 6:4 when I noticed something that I never really paid attention to before. In Romans 6:4 it reads that Christ was raised from the dead, THROUGH THE GLORY OF THE FATHER.
Do you know that the Glory of God in Hebrew thought, (as well as in the Old Testament) was always interchangeable with the Spirit of God or as it's said in the New Testament...THE HOLY SPIRIT! In fact, Jews do not make a distinct separation between God and His Spirit because they are both one and the same Spirit. In fact, the word for Spirit in Hebrew is רוּח Ruach, this is also the same word used for "breath" in Hebrew.
Because breath, like speaking is Spiritual, it cannot be separated from the Spirit who is putting this communication in motion. In fact, science even backs this idea up as sound waves NEVER die. Here it is now, spirit cannot die, which is why Jesus Spirit never died, ONLY HIS FLESH. Keep in mind now, that flesh without Spirit = physical death! (Spirit still lives, only body dies) Here it is now, God and his word cannot be separated. John 1:1) Just read Isaiah 40:5, this verse is pertaining to Jesus raising from the dead! In order to see Spirit...the Spirit must inhabit a physical shape!
Here it is, The Spirit of God, inhabiting a body of flesh and blood that all men will see! So Jesus body or flesh was not God, but a created vessel that had a role in time to carry out. But the Spirit living in this man, most certainly was God, which is why the Messiah in Jewish tradition and also Bible traditions (Torah says in Deut 18:18) That God would raise up a man who would speak his every word. How is this possible?...God living inside him!
Could the popular accepted idea of three separate, co-equal and co-eternal Spirits of God be wrong? Well, Deuteronomy 6:4 never explained God in this way. The "Shema" makes it very clear that their is only ONE God. It says nothing about a three in one God. We also know that God's word cannot change. In fact God says that he does not change in Malachi 3:6. Are we trying to change God to validate our popular held beliefs or do we actually allow the word of God to speak for itself? We can't change God, so why do we think we can change His word? God and his word are both one, so if we change God, then he is no longer God but a delusion of our own imagination! Are we putting our own human imagination in his place? We better be very careful when we make claims and make certain that what we are saying matches up with God's very word.
You will not find the title's, "God the Son" and "God the Holy Spirit" anywhere in your Bible. Not on one page of scripture. You cannot separate God or His word because they are one. There is only one God and His name is Jesus! This God carried out multiple roles in time, throughout the Bible, inhabiting a burning bush, a pillar of fire, a pillar of cloud.etc...Could over 2,000 years of the best seminary schools and theologians be wrong? Let me answer a loaded question, with a loaded question. Could an entire population of 70 million Germans during WWII possibly be wrong? You are never too big to fail...Let God be true and every man a liar. In Jesus name! : )
